International Labels

These labels follow strict regulations and certification process. They are well-known around the world and help the consumer to choose responsible products.

AB Agriculture Biologique

France's national logo for organic products since 1985. Organic products carrying the logo must contain more than 95 percent organic components, and be produced or processed within the EU.

EU Organic

The EU organic logo gives a coherent visual identity to EU produced organic products sold in the EU. The organic logo can only be used on products that have been certified as organic by an authorised control agency or body. This means that they have fulfilled strict conditions on how they are produced, transported and stored.

MSC Label

The blue MSC label is only applied to wild fish or seafood from fisheries that have been certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard, a set of requirements for sustainable fishing. Fish and seafood with the blue label comes from a fishery that has been independently assessed on its impacts to wild fish populations and the ecosystems they're part of.

USA Organic

Organic products must be produced using agricultural production practices that foster resource cycling, promote ecological balance, maintain and improve soil and water quality, minimize the use of synthetic materials, and conserve biodiversity. The USDA protects consumer options by protecting the organic seal.

India Organic

It is a certification mark for organically farmed food products manufactured in India. The certification mark certifies that an organic food product confirms to the National Standards for Organic Products established in 2000. Those standards ensures that the product or the raw materials used in the product were grown through organic farming, without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or induced hormones.

B-corp certification

B-Corp Certification shows that a company meets top-notch standards in performance, accountability, and transparency. This includes how they treat employees, their charitable efforts, how they manage their supply chain, and where they get their materials from.

Responsibly sourced

Products that have been produced in a way that takes into consideration social, environmental, and ethical factors. Sourcing and production process has been conducted in a way that minimizes negative impacts and has positive effects on various stakeholders, including workers, local communities, and the environment.

Biodynamic practices

Biodynamic farming or gardening is an approach to agriculture and horticulture that goes beyond organic farming and incorporates a holistic and ecological perspective. It was developed in the early 20th century by Austrian philosopher and educator Rudolf Steiner aiming to create a self-sustaining and harmonious farm or garden ecosystem that considers the interconnectedness of soil, plants, animals, and cosmic influences.

Locally made

"Locally made" refers to products that are 100 % manufactured or produced within Mauritius.

Vegan

Products that do not contain any animal-derived ingredients or components and have not been tested on animals. It aligns with the principles of veganism, which aims to avoid the use of animals for food, clothing, cosmetics, and other purposes, while also striving to minimize harm to animals and promote ethical and environmental considerations.

Gluten Free

A gluten-free product is one that does not contain gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and their derivatives.

Eco-friendly packaging

Eco-friendly packaging, also known as sustainable or green packaging, refers to the use of materials and design practices that minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability throughout the packaging lifecycle. The goal of eco-friendly packaging is to reduce waste, conserve resources, and lower the carbon footprint associated with packaging production, distribution, and disposal.

Palm Oil Free

A palm oil-free product is one that does not contain palm oil or any of its derivatives.

A product that is labeled as "sustainable agriculture" typically refers to agricultural products that have been produced using sustainable farming practices.
